We need a Full-time Graphics Designer able to Quality Control offshore work and perform Content Management/Data entry

Our company is looking for a web designer who has great design and organizational skills. The successful candidate should be familiar with web programming using HTML and CSS. Excellent Photoshop skills are essential. Database and SEO experience would be useful. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and performs a variety of tasks within an internet based firm. This position works with a creative and technical team to accomplish web development and data entry.

To be successful in your application, you must have more that 2 years experience in commercial level development and have experience working with Dreamweaver, HTML, JavaScript and Photoshop. You must have a working knowledge of Database design and MS Office. Experience in video conversions, Flash and developing cross-platform/cross-browser UI for web applications (Internet Explorer, Mozilla/Firefox, Safari) would be an asset in this position.

In a nutshell: We need a graphics designer who can design web based banners and ads, who can review and check the quality of work submitted by offshore contractors and interface with them, who can meticulaously document all the graphics and video files in our database, obtain copyright approval and document the origin and nature of new and existing content to comply with regulatory requirements. This person will also assist in the development of new web sites and graphics content.

The ideal candidate has a post secondary designation in graphic web design and training in marketing or promotion concepts. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, has excellent interpersonal skills and has a high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Excellent design, strategic and conceptual skills.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and other design-related applications with expert skills in design techniques such as page layout..
• Knowledge of web design constraints, including download times, browser differences and web-safe palettes. Should be aware of best practices.
• Knowlede of data entry into software databases.
• Meticulous nature.
• Knowledge of Dreamweaver, HTML, PHP or ASP, JavaScript
• Some marketing experience desired in web site promotion, link exchanges and relationship building
• Post secondary diploma in a related field

Responsibilities

• Create & design graphics and web pages based on instruction from Creative Director, provide creative solutions to produce an attractive, innovative product
• Monitor and review the quality of other designers to ensure compliance to our standards.
• Research and document all existing graphics and videos on all our web properties to ensure compliance with industry regulatory standards.
• Work with Content Development personnel, marketing and graphics to review develop and design new and updates to existing web sites, promotional campaigns, announcements, and news features
• Promote web site and pages using standard and innovative techniques
