The Arthris Society -Quebec Division is looking for philanthropic volunteers for its Joints in Motion Program
Joints in Motion, The Arthritis Society training program, brings together participants of all athletic calibers to take part in marathons, treks or walks around the world while raising money for the programs and services, including much needed arthritis research.
The members of Joints in Motion have their own "arthritis hero" and participate in the chosen event in their honour.
All monies raised will finance research and training programs in Canadian medical centers. This support allows physicians and researchers to increase their knowledge on arthritis and contributes to increase family doctors awareness on arthritis.
Treks for 2010, being offered as a group activity, are Machu Picchu, Kilimanjaro and Mount Everest Base Camp. We also have a walk - St. Jacques de Compostelle, that is being offered. There is also the possibility of supporting arthritis research through an activity of your choosing.
For those who prefer running, the following marathon destinations are being offered - Athens Marathon and Cayman Islands. We also have Honolulu, Achorage and New Orleans that are being offered as well.
If you are unable to participate, but wish to support another participant or becoming a partner of the program, please feel free to contact us. 1-800-321-1433 or arthroaction@qc.arthritis.ca
