supports Global Credit Trading business encompassing Credit Derivatives & Bond Trading, Distressed and Correlation Trading, Structured Finance, among other businesses. Offering outstanding execution in a diverse range of products, the team sets the market standard. The group supports a number of internally developed products used by Trading, Sales, Market Risk and other groups.
Responsibilities:
The position is an expert-level Java development role on the team focusing on the projects for Credit and ABS/CDO Secondary Trading desks. The group is looking for a strong results-driven individual with a broad technical background and good analytical and problem solving skills. The person will participate in strategic projects, contribute to the system architecture and design as well as will be personally involved in the application development. The person should be capable of independently conducting all phases of the project lifecycle including analysis, design, development and system support. The person should be able to work independently, multitask and work on multiple projects.
Skills / Knowledge Required:
Minimum 7 years of experience as an application developer; experience in financial services industry is a big plus
Individual must be proficient in all aspects of object-oriented and database design, and system architecture
Experience with Agile software development
Strong knowledge of and experience in Java/J2EE (7 yrs +), EJB's 4+yrs , Weblogic (3 + yrs.), Oracle (5 yrs.), SQL , Unix; knowledge of C# and MS Excel is a plus
Weblogic 8. Weblogic Application Developer, XML, JFS, JMS, JBoss, Struts, Hibernate, Spring, AJAX, JUnit, Rational Rose, OO Design, Windows, Eclipse.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to resolve functional & technical issues independently
Knowledge of fixed income products, such as credit products, ABS/MBS, Cash CDO is a big plus
