POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Senior Client Service Consultant/Safety Specialist
REPORTS TO: Manager, Client Services Issue Date: October 23, 2009
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Work with the Product Management group and R&D to provide leadership on application enhancements and functionality for the Medgate’s Safety software product.
• As Client Service Consultant, you would act as the primary liaison between Medgate and clients, with a particular focus on clients purchasing the Safety product.
•Define and document client user requirements. Validate changes in software and communicate discrepancies back to software development staff. Ensure that software changes meet client expectations and requirements.
•Consult with and make recommendations to clients on how to implement Medgate software. Assist clients with their internal planning, scheduling and project management of implementation tasks. Consult with clients on the configuration of Medgate software to meet business requirements and provide training.
•Assist (if necessary) in pre-sales support, including onsite product demonstration and Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety trade shows.
•You would be expected to travel to client sites in the US, Canada, and abroad 25% to 50% of the time. The position could be based in Toronto or from a home office in the U.S. or Canada. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
EDUCATION:
A graduate of a university program in health care, business administration or computer science or a related program with equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
You have a CSP designation or you are a CIH who has worked extensively in a Safety environment, preferably with a Fortune 500 company. You have a good understanding of safety programs and reporting on key metrics, risk, trending, and pro-active corrective actions and programs to safeguard employee health and safety. You have used a software system in the past to manage Safety information and reporting. You may have experience in gathering requirements, interfacing between functional users and technical development, for the implementation or roll-out of a safety data management software system. You will also have strong time management skills; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; an ability to mentor team members, and resolve conflicts; and be able to understand and communicate the role of technology in the delivery of solutions.
