About the opportunity…
The IT Services Department of the Montreal office is looking for an Intermediate Developer with web development experience to join its team. In this role, you will provide application support for internally supported systems and applications, and be responsible for the design and development of new software according to business requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
• Produce high quality, well-documented and easily maintainable code using established standards and procedures for new and existing applications
• Provide L2/L3 application support and maintain existing software according to company standards and procedures
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing software according to company standards and procedures
• Convert requirements into technical and functional specifications and estimate required development time
• Develop and enhance new and existing applications
• Test, and deploy code using established standards and procedures
• Write technical and user documentation as applicable
• Ensure quality assurance by carrying out adequate unit, system and post-implementation testing procedures.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, thrive in a team environment and will welcome challenges. Other essential attributes for success in the role include excellent communication skills (verbal & written), being detailed oriented and highly organized. As well, the following qualifications are requirements for this position:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Commerce (Major MIS) or appropriate computer science related certificate
• 2-5 years experience in C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, Crystal Reports, SQL Server 2005
• 1-3 years experience in SharePoint (WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007)
• Knowledge and experience with the development life-cycle methodologies
• Solid troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Ability to write solid code quickly with minimal defects
• Assets: basic knowledge of accounting principles; familiarity with ColdFusion, Clientele, Vantage, eBackoffice, Visual Basic 6, Knowledge of Web Services and IIS, integration applications (BizTalk, SSIS)
• Available to work minimal overtime and off hours when necessary
