Position Summary:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for selling Selco’s products and services and will be a prominent team member in a growing business, in a high growth territory. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for a net new customer acquisition strategy to continue to grow business in both standard displays and our exciting customer solutions categories. The focus will be on targeting and landing new accounts as well as managing existing accounts. This position calls for a driven person who thrives on winning new business, understanding the business challenges of organizations and can clearly communicate the value of the solution to Marketing executives over the phone.
Responsibilities:
. Meet and exceed revenue targets set by management.
. Analyze client needs, recruitment forecasts and sales trends to develop solutions that utilize Selco’s entire service offering
. Liaise with internal resources to solve customer problems, provide excellent service to customers, and ensure correct service implementation
. Manage the complete sales cycle for assigned and acquired accounts.
. Identify high-potential prospects amongst existing and potential customers.
. Negotiate win-win service agreements and ensure that the service delivered meets/exceeds customer expectations.
. Cultivate relationships to ensure long-term customer retention and future sales opportunities.
. Participate in client industry trade shows and conferences to create market awareness.
. Provide detailed account information on both prospects and customers by using CRM tools and managing a sales pipeline for accurate forecasting of revenue.
Qualifications:
. University Degree/College Diploma preferred
. 5+ years of inside sales experience in consultative/solution selling environment
. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and CRM tools such as SalesForce™
. Ability to sell ideas and concepts, not just products
. Creative, innovative, outside the box thinker and the ability to tailor product and services to meet client needs
. Excellent lead generation skills
. Highly developed skills in prospecting, cold calling, objection handling and closing skills
. Excellent probing skills
. Strong time management, follow-up and organizational skills
. Outstanding problem solving skills
. Self motivated, self managing and personal discipline skills are essential.
. A desire to compete and the will to win
. Strong negotiation, facilitation, and influencing skills.
. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
. Related industry experience is a definite asset (Trade show, marketing, etc)
