Responsibilities:

Identify new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories. Through direct calling, and email, you’ll work directly with nation’s leading companies’ CTO’s, CIO’s, IT Directors and Network Operations Managers on current and future connectivity solutions generating proposals for sales. You’ll identify prospects’ current pain points and with consultative selling techniques, demonstrate Cogent’s value add and superiority. Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling into the nation’s largest commercial and retail buildings; office parks and professional campuses. With the support of an experienced sales and engineering team, you will help lead organizations’ telecommunications infrastructure into the future.

Qualifications:

Candidate must have proven experience in a direct hunting sales role. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to identify, qualify and generate new business. A qualified candidate will have 1-3 years of solid, B2B sales experience preferably in the technology arena. Experienced and professional communication skills both oral and written are a must. You must also be able to work in a fast paced, team environment with revenue deadlines. A track record of success and recent experience is required. A college degree is preferred. Professional knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft office and Siebel are a plus.
