Our deal is that we are so fortunate as to live in a ridiculously gorgeous place with 10 rooms, on two floors with high ceilings and wood mouldings, fancy details, two bathrooms, etc. We are located in a great part of town, close to cafes, fruit shops and mom and pop stores, spas, health and fitness training centers, etc. There is street parking and an nice family feel in our neighbourhood. Please do read the entire ad before responding so as to avoid surprises on either end when you visit.
We are looking to build on what is already a warm, friendly, loving, clean, art-filled space, as our house mate is headed out of town. The place houses some instruments, includes a big balcony, a BIG solarium, a rooftop, and two living rooms... Its a LARGE home with great sun, so the cold of winter need not be as daunting. While we hang out occasionally, we are usually quite busy doing our own thing, and the place is often pretty quiet despite our being 5 in the home. When we are each in a common room, only one room has 2 people in it, so there is plenty of space. The apartment itself usually makes jaws drop in awe of it's rich character, warmth and beauty, so the space is pretty much sure to please.
Rent is 650/month. Includes all bills and utilities aside from Internet (10-15 per month.) While the goal is to find long- term roomies, short term stays are possible while we find someone into a longer commitment. The available room is a good size and full of light and has a double bed and floor lamp which is yours if you want it. Washer and dryer in the house. We're seeking fun and mature vegetarians, (or people willing to abstain from cooking meat in the house,) with a good sense of humor and respect to share the space with us. Seeking someone verrry neat and tidy and cleeeean. :) Big huge must. There is space available as of the 1st of November.
I am the leaseholder with the responsibility of the place and a love of cleanliness, so there are indeed a few basic and easy house rules which usually go unspoken for most. They just include things like leaving a space tidier than you found it, speaking calmly in communication, asking before borrowing, paying rent on time, replacing anything which has been broken, offering your time to a weekly chore to put some lovin into the space... That kind of thing. Just simple. As I toward living harmoniously in a relaxed home with self- responsible individuals, I prefer to live with people who are already used to relating to others with open communication and in full love and respect. This place has, with few exceptions, attracted quality individuals and houses a deliciously warm atmosphere.
You would be sharing the space with me, a 27 year old massage therapist, yoga teacher and herbology assistant teacher who enjoys traveling and playing music, a McGill science student in her 30s, an anthropology student in his late twenties and a French marketing intern.
