People need to stop losing their cats. I don't care if it ran out the door or the window or the damn chimney. Keep on eye on yours pets. Do you handle your children just as sloppily? Are your kids lost too?

If your animal "broke" through the door, window, screen or chimney then fine. If you lost it for a stupid reason then you didn't deserve to have it.
