- Pup not from a puppy mill, backyard breeder or pet shop – pup obtained directly from breeder - it's not the breeder posting here. Must provide new home to dog due to change in sudden circumstances. Getting a dog directly from a breeder is the best thing someone could ever do – for the sake of the dog, the breed & stakeholders which is why this dog was not “saved” from a puppy mill.
And who saids that my rehoming the pup would only fund more litters to be born without proper health testing and a real concern for the breed? By obtaining the pup from a breeder, the agreement is that the pup must be neutered before 7 months of age so therefore, no further pups. This is a pup companion, not for reproduction.
- Puppy mill would not housetrain nor socialize pups unlike this pup had been. Pups are not raised in a home environment nor do they take them out to meet other people or animals.
- That’s exactly the point... puppy mills do not get their dogs vet checked and if this pup has been vet checked, the conclusion is logical and common sense. Vet would not put their name on the line risking their reputation and having their medical license stripped after all those years of studies.
- Pup mills would not bother vaccinating their dogs. Why pay for extra costs.
- Pup mills do not Optigen test their dogs. Why pay for extra costs.
- Pup mills do not provide insurance vouchers. You buy dog - dog gets sick, your problem.
- Pup mills don’t bother microchipping their dogs. You buy dog - dog gets lost, your problem.
- Pup mills do not feed the best of the best to their dogs – they feed them “you know what”.
- Regarding the rehoming fee – same goes for you wanting to buy a Honda Civic vs. a BMW. A necklace from Birks or Tiffany’s or from a dollar store. You get what you pay for, simple as that.
