I was wondering if anyone can help me...My beautiful cocker just had surgery for a lip fold pyoderma which cost 942$ on Thursday. When the vet told me I could pick her up I was delighted to hear that everything went well. When I arrived at the vets office and they handed her over to me I noticed she was bleeding , the vet tech lifted her lip and noticed she was actually bleeding quite heavily and took her into the back. When she came back out she said that it looked like the part of the stitches had been cut probably when my dog came out and was excited. SHe then kept her over night until the vet came back the next morning. The following morning I went to pick her and everything was fine until the next day when I noticed a foul smell. I fifured it was probably just old blood ans my dog wouldn't let me touch her face. Tonight I noticed her stich hanging from her mouth so against my dogs permission I checked out her mouth and it looks like stiches came out and now has a gaping hole!! I called the emergency vet who said it would be 125$ just for a consult and if they have to put stitches back in they would than have to put her under anesthesia, which mean mucho $$$. I will bring her in the morning to her new that performed the surgery but I want to know does he have the right to charge me full price again? I was laid off this year and just coming up with the 942$ was hard. PLease any info would be great
