Reach For The Stars Rescue urgently needs a 'Foster Sitter' to go into a home and care for several animals for a period of 4 days from Thursday November 5th to Monday November 9th, 2009.
The person needs to be available to spend most of his or her time at the location as one of the animals is a special needs dog who cannot be left alone for very long.
It is a nice detached house in the West Island and food is provided. There is a comfortable bed and a dvd player if the 'foster sitter' wishes to bring movies along. If there is a couple who wishes to come together we would gladly welcome that.
The animals in need of care at the location are as follows:
- One special needs Husky pup named Shelby whose symptoms are similar to autism. Shelby requires almost constant supervision around the clock. More information on her specific needs and care will be provided.
- One mother dog (German Shepard) with two very young pups (born October 25th, 2009). Frau requires feeding twice a day, to be taken out at least four times per day to pee and poop and to have her blankets changed as frequently as required to keep the entire family dry and warm.
- Tia a small 12lbs recent puppy mill rescue who is the sweetest and snuggliest dog ever. Tia needs to be fed twice a day, needs to be taken out a few times a day and needs someone to clean up after her as she is not yet housebroken.
- Several rescue cats, all easy. The cats require someone to scoop their litter box twice a day, tidy their area and to put food out once or twice per day.
