LASIK MD is a national provider of laser vision correction, with over 20 clinics across Canada and 1 clinic in the United States. This individual will be stationed at the corporate Central Administrative Office in downtown Montreal.
This position includes three areas of responsibility:
•Translate marketing material from English to French (40%)
•Translate operational documents and memos from English to French (40%)
•Translate human resource (HR) material from English to French (20%)
The Translator, displaying a high level of responsibility, professionalism and judgment, will answer the marketing, operations and HR departments’ translation needs. The candidate will also be required to adapt, edit, review and write material for each of these departments. The individual will be proactive with significant foresight to identify issues prior to them occurring, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Impeccable spoken and written communication skills are required in both English and French to translate (into French). The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized and sophisticated in their approach and thrive in a fast paced environment.
Requirements:
•A degree in Translation, Communications, Journalism, or French Literature.
•4 years experience as a translator, either in-house or at an agency.
•Strong ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
•Strong sense of priorities
•Mature, proactive, independent and outgoing.

Le traducteur, affichant un niveau élevé de responsabilité, professionnalisme et de jugement, répondra aux besoins des départements marketing, opérations et des ressources humaines. Le candidat devra également adapter, modifier, réviser et écrire le matériel demandé pour chacun de ces départements. Le candidat retenu devra se montrer proactif et être en mesure d’identifier les problèmes de façon autonome dans un environnement rapide.
Une communication impeccable tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit ainsi qu’une capacité d’interpréter et de traduire de l’anglais vers le français avec précision est requis. Le candidat idéal aura un grand souci du détail, sera organisé et capable de travailler efficacement sous pression.
Exigences et compétences :
•Un certificat ou un diplôme en traduction / communications, journalisme, littérature française
•4 années d’expérience en traduction / interprétation dans une agence ou une entreprise privée
•Capable de travailler avec niveau minimal de supervision dans un environnement rapide
•Habileté à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément et capacité de travailler sous pression
•Bonne gestion des priorités
•Mature, pro-actif, autonome et sociable
