ASSISTANT CHIRURGICAL

Nous recherchons présentement des individus motivés pour le poste d’Assistant chirurgical à temps partiel pour notre clinique située au centre-ville de Brossard. Le candidat idéal doit être flexible et disponible à travailler le jeudi et vendredi et parfois le mercredi (environ 16-24 heures par semaines). Le candidat retenu suivra également une formation polyvalente pour d’autres postes cliniques.
Se rapportant à la Directrice de centre et travaillant étroitement avec des optométristes et des ophtalmologistes, l’Assistant chirurgical se doit de fournir un service de qualité aux patients ayant la chirurgie. Ceci inclut préparer le patient pour la chirurgie, le rassurer et assurer un suivi auprès de ce dernier après la chirurgie (expliquer les traitements post-op). L’Assistant chirurgical a la responsabilité de s'assurer que la salle d'opération est nettoyée et que tous les instruments sont stérilisés pour chaque patient. Les responsabilités principales incluent préparer la salle d'opération, préparer le patient, assister le médecin, stériliser les instruments, suivre le patient après la chirurgie et préparer l'inventaire sur une base hebdomadaire. Le candidat recevra une formation complète et ne requiert donc pas une formation particulière dans le domaine médical.
RESPONSABILITÉS:
•Préparer la salle d’opération pour la chirurgie (nettoyer, étaler les instruments,
vérifier la maîtrise du laser, programmer le laser)
•Préparer le patient pour la chirurgie (nettoyer les yeux, offrir de l’Ativan etc.)
•Rassurer le patient
•Stériliser les instruments pour chaque patient (« scrubbing »)
•Préparer l'inventaire hebdomadaire
•Assurer un suivi auprès du patient après la chirurgie (expliquer les traitements post-op)
•Toutes autres tâches nécessaires au bon fonctionnement de la salle de chirurgie
APTITUDES:
•Excellentes aptitudes de communication en français et l'anglais (oral et écrit)
•Bonne compréhension de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Bonne capacité d’adaptation aux changements est essentielle
•Expérience dans une clinique médicale est un atout
•Très bon sens de l'organisation afin de maintenir le rythme rapide
•Capacité de travailler en équipe
•Service à la clientèle hors pair
•Intérêt pour le domaine des services de la santé

SURGICAL ASSISTANT

We are presently seeking motivated individuals for the part-time Surgical Assistant position for our clinic located in Brossard. The ideal candidate must be available and flexible to work Thursday and Friday as well as the occasional Wednesday (on average of 16-24 hours per week). The selected candidate will also be cross-trained in other clinical positions.
Reporting directly to the Center Director, working closely with Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, the Surgical Assistant is to provide quality service to patients having the surgery. This includes preparing the patient for surgery, reassuring the patient and following up with the patient after surgery (explaining post-op treatments). Moreover, the surgical assistant has the responsibility of making sure that the operation room is cleaned and that all instruments are sterilized for each patient. Major responsibilities include setting up the operation room, preparing the patient, assisting the doctor, sterilizing the instruments, following up with the patient after surgery and preparing the inventory on a weekly basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Setting up the OR for surgery (cleaning, setting up the instruments,
verify fluency of laser, programming the laser)
•Preparing the patient for surgery (cleaning eyes, offering Ativan, etc.)
•Reassuring the patient
•“Scrubbing” (sterilizing the instruments for each patient)
•Preparing the weekly inventory
•Following up with the patient after surgery (explaining post-op
treatments)
•Any of other tasks required in the OR
APTITUDES:
•Excellent communication skills in French and English (verbal and written)
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•Capacity to work in a fast paced environment
•Experience within Medical/Optical clinic setting is an asset
•Ability to adapt to change
•Sense of organization
•Ability to work as a team
