Who?- Professor Fingers (ProF) | Performance artist, turntable musician and world class entertainer.
Although rhythmically much of ProF’s sound can be classified as “down tempo”, “trip hop”, or “experimental” sometimes there is no better word to describe it than “turntable music”.
With over 11 years of experience, Toronto Canada based musician Professor Fingers has been continuing to help define the future of Turntable music. As a member of renowned musical act iNSiDEaMiND, ProF is definitely no stranger to bending minds. Having shared the stage or collaborated with artists such as turntable music veteran D-Styles (US), Dj Food (UK), A- Trak (CAN), Rjd2 (US), P-Love (US), Daedelus (US), Ghislain Poirier (CAN), N.A.S.A (US) and Kid Koala (CAN) among many others, ProF uses vinyl and finely tuned turntable skills as a main ingredient to create live on the spot compositions. Having fun is the key ingredient, taking him to a diverse variety of events including the X Avant Festival, Toronto FR!NGE theatre festival, World Wide Short Film festival, NUITE BLANCH festival, San Francisco Asian Arts Festival, Toronto After Dark Film Festival, the Royal Ontario Museum, The Art Gallery of Mississauga, Deep Wireless Festival, Beats Breaks & Culture Festival (inaugural year) and the Vans Warped tour to name a few. Over the years ProF has appeared in National and International publications such as Exclaim!, Okayplayer, NOW, Eye, Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Mirror, URB magazine, the Globe & Mail and more...
