My name is Vanessa, I am 19 years old, and I am a self-taught cake decorator.
I currently am a full-time student, however I love to make and decorate cakes as a hobby. At the moment, I have only made cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for family and friend parties but these events don't come around as often as I would like. So, this is why I am posting this ad. If you would like a cake, some cupcakes, or cookies for a special event, I'm your gal! I would love to expand my cake decorating “business”.
I am a very creative person, so I do enjoy coming with my own ideas, however I am more than happy to work with you to come up with a design, or use a design you provide for me.
As for the decorations, I use butter cream frosting, marshmallow fondant or chocolate clay (you can choose which you like; both work perfectly and taste wonderful!), small candies and chocolates to decorate, and a cake base (which is usually a cake mix that I modify a bit, because I have yet to come across a better cake base recipe; however if you would like me to try a homemade recipe, let me know. I will try my best). That being said, all of my treats are nut free! You can choose what type of cake (or cakes) you would like; chocolate, vanilla, to name a few. My decorated cookies are sugar cookies (my recipe)
I am a very motivated and determined person, so give me a challenge, and I will see that it will be done (to my best attempt and ability)! I've posted a couple of pictures of some of the past cakes and cupcakes I have designed. I do have more but Craigslist only allows me to post 4 so if you would like to see more, please contact me.
