Our client is a leader in the global life insurance industry and is currently seeking an Accounting Technician.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice-President, the Technician assumes administrative and corporate tasks in order to meet the departmental objectives.
Responsibilities: * Prepare support documents during reception / creation of cheques
• Prepare accounting entries
• Conciliation of receivables /payables
• Prepare various reports
• Conciliation between various systems
• Assist the Accounting Analyst
Qualifications: • College Diploma with concentration on Accounting
• Minimum of three years of experience in accounting (entries, reconciliation of accounts)
• Good computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written skills (French and English)
Abilities: • Highly organized (respect for deadlines)
• Strong observational skills and detail oriented
• Diplomatic
• Shows initiative, is autonomous and proactive
• Team player
• Flexible concerning changes.
