About the Role:

Based out of our state–of-the-art Kahnawake offices, 15 minutes from downtown Montreal, the successful candidate will be trained to be part of a trading team that is responsible for adjusting odds on in-running sports (live betting) and timely settlement of wagers.

This is a part time opportunity (between 10-25 hours per week) with the possibility of becoming full time position in the future.

Compensation:

$17/hour

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Trading odds on in-running football, basketball, baseball, and hockey matches.
• Maintaining liabilities and thresholds in accordance to limits set by the trading director.
• Managing content on the website interface, and keeping it up-to-date.
• Ensuring that all odds changes and delivery of events are timely and accurate.
• Assist the Customer Service Department with their sports betting related enquiries.
• Assist with the training of other members and staff.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• University student or recent graduate with areas of concentration in one of the following fields: finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, actuarial science or another concentration with the ability to demonstrate a very strong aptitude for math
• Knowledge of North American sports, and in-game strategies for these sports is essential (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB)
• A firm knowledge of lines/odds and sports betting concepts (particularly US Sports)
• Ability to work in a team and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Highly numerate, analytical with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional English language communication skills.
• Due to the nature of the work, trading odds while sports matches are in progress, work is required on evenings and weekends. Typical shifts would be 7pm-1am on weekdays and 12pm-7pm on weekends
• There is limited public transportation between Khanawake and Montreal so candidates will need to have access to their own reliable transportation.
