Junior Trader
Description
Our traders focus on short term, low risk, high frequency trading of domestic equities. All trade executions are routed electronically from the trading desk to the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, European Exchanges, and the futures markets via a proprietary network designed to provide our traders with a competitive edge.
All traders joining the firm must complete a rigorous, three-month training curriculum. Our training program focuses on three major topics: an introduction to the financial markets, trading venues and electronic execution of trades, and psychology and effective management of investment risk.
At the completion of the training program, traders who have passed will immediately be allocated a portion of the firm’s capital to begin their career as a trader. This capital allocation is reviewed on a daily basis. Performance based increases in capital allocations are made if a trader exhibits consistent profitability and growth.
Trader will be expected to analyze and develop trading strategies and help on trading system improvements.
Junior Traders typically work from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Compensation:
Traders are compensated with a percent of their profitability each month. Successful Junior Traders are typically promoted to the position of Senior Trader twelve months after finishing the training program. Senior
Traders typically earn $100,000 to $200,000 per year,

-Eligible candidates will have academic and work experience credentials that demonstrate intelligence, competitiveness, and focus.
-As there is no base salary, eligible candidates must have the drive, determination, and confidence in themselves to succeed; and, if they need to support themselves during the training program, have the ambition to get a second job during this time
