A large international organization based in Mississauga is looking for a Bilingual Payroll Administrator. The payroll team is responsible for payroll activities of the company at a national level.
Duties:
* Multi-provincial, multi-union, semi-monthly & bi-weekly payroll processing
* Payroll Processing for complex Payroll:
* Remittances for multiple pension plans
* Flex Benefits program
* Multiple vacation plans
* Commissioned staff
* Pension Administration
* Life Insurance & LTD Claim Administration
* Special Projects as assigned
* Month End:
* Garnishees, Union Dues
* Reconciliation of General Ledger
* Balancing payrolls with spreadsheets using Excel
* Tracking vacation and sick days
* Preparation of Payroll reports
* Managing and archiving payroll data
Skills and Attributes:
* Flexibility; comfortable in a high pressure, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
* Ability to work independently; strong prioritizing and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Mathematical aptitude
* Bilingual in French
Knowledge:
* First level of PCP required
* Excellent PC skills
* In-depth knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
* Some knowledge of Crystal would be extremely useful
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years experience in payroll administration
* Certification of / Working towards certification of Payroll Administrator is preferred, but not mandatory.
